Tools and Resources > Webinars

The Centre’s webinar series builds capacity in child and youth mental health by providing reliable information that is ready to use in child and youth mental health settings. Service providers are invited to participate during the live online webcast, and supplementary materials and a recording are made available online for on-demand access by anyone. At this time, the recordings are available in English only.

Webinars are intended as educational tools to enhance skill development and knowledge exchange in the child and youth mental health sector. An organization can have several staff participate in a webinar using one computer with internet access (to view the presentation) and one phone line (to participate in the teleconference). Videoconferencing capabilities and extensive technical support are not required to participate in the webinars.

Webinars were initially developed by the Centre’s evaluation team to help grant recipients develop program evaluation frameworks. Past webinar topics include conducting a literature review, identifying and selecting measures, conducting a process evaluation, writing a final report and writing a winning proposal. Upcoming webinar topics include youth engagement, knowledge exchange strategies, data collection, and mental health screening.

The Centre welcomes suggestions for future webinars. Agencies interested in information about upcoming webinar topics and dates are encouraged to contact the Centre.

Webinars for 2009-2010

Three new webinars are planned for current recipients of the Centre’s evaluation grants. There is a limited number of spaces available for other interested participants as well.

Registration information will be provided to project leads for the following webinars. Others who are interested in participating in these webinars are encouraged to contact the Centre at onthepoint@cheo.on.ca, and can be accommodated on a first-come first-served basis. Recordings and supplementary materials from these webinars will also be made available on the Centre’s website.
