KEEPING YOU IN THE LOOP ON THE CENTRE’S ACTIVITIES

CHECKPOINT is the Centre’s quarterly e-bulletin. It contains helpful information about our activities, achievements, products, grants and awards. We also profile innovative agencies, programs and individuals who are working to improve the mental health of every child and youth in Ontario.

Product

CHECKPOINT is a quarterly e-bulletin with more than 3,000 subscribers. It contains updates on the Centre’s activities and interesting child and youth mental health news from across the province. CHECKPOINT subscribers are often the first to hear about new Centre products, grants and awards and they stay in the loop on funding opportunities and deadlines. Regular components of CHECKPOINT include:

• In-depth perspectives on child and youth mental health issues written by leading experts in the field
• Centre news – including grants and awards deadlines, product launches, staff announcements and event listings
• Profiles of researchers, professionals, agencies, partnerships, programs and approaches that are improving the mental health of children and youth

Purpose

CHECKPOINT is one of the key ways the Centre communicates with its diverse stakeholders. Through the e-bulletin, we also try to provide a venue in which child and youth mental health stakeholders can communicate with one another, connect with others with similar interests and create knowledge communities that will work to improve child and youth mental health services and programs.

Background

CHECKPOINT is developed and created by an editorial team at the Centre. Ideas for content are sought from our diverse stakeholders and grant recipients. To ensure a wide range of perspectives is included in CHECKPOINT, the e-bulletin often features external authors who are acknowledged innovators, experts and service providers.
